Announcing the Elevation of Mr. Pankaj Poddar as the Group CEO

At Cosmo Films, we believe that the growth of our company & team members goes hand in hand, and today, it gives us immense pleasure to announce the appointment of Mr. Pankaj Poddar as the Group CEO of Cosmo Films, Cosmo Ferrites, Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, and Zigly. Mr. Pankaj resides at the helm of our organization, now heading the fast-growing consumer business Zigly for pet care and our multiple trade verticals that include Films, Labelling & Packaging, Specialty Chemicals, Ferrites, Masterbatches and Textile Chemicals. The decision came into action after the immense growth Cosmo Films Ltd. witnessed under his leadership.

MESSAGE FROM MR. ASHOK JAIPURIA
Mr. Ashok Jaipuria, Chairman & Managing Director, Cosmo Films, says: “Pankaj’s contribution is immense for the success of Cosmo as is visible in the last few years. R&D, Sales & Marketing competencies, expanded product range and focus on Speciality films have led to the achievement of record EBITDA and an all time high market capitalization. Pankaj has also played a key role in ensuring diversification from the Films business into Ferrites, Speciality Chemicals and Zigly. All of these will make a significant addition to all the parameters of the company – topline, bottomline and market valuations. He is a great asset to Cosmo with his focus, drive and implementation bringing in benefits to the company and its stakeholders.”

JOURNEY OF MR. PANKAJ PODDAR AT COSMO FILMS
He began his journey with Cosmo Films as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2011, bringing in his great experience with senior financial positions at large multinational companies. His contribution to managing Cosmo Films’ India & overseas financial operations led him to his next step soon. Later in the same year, he was made the President – India Operations at Cosmo Films, managing all India operations that accounted for a 1000 Cr turnover.

As he continued to strive for excellence in his role & go beyond to achieve success, he was made the CEO of Cosmo Films Ltd. in Aug 2013. Under his leadership, Cosmo Films made the headlines, witnessing growth by leaps & bounds. As Mr. Ashok Jaipuria stated, he was the man behind the record-high EBITDA and market capitalization. The company diversified, foraying into FMCG & petcare domains as well. As a result, today, Cosmo Films announced his elevation as the Group CEO of Cosmo Films, Cosmo Ferrites, Cosmo Specialty Chemicals, and Zigly.

At this point of time Cosmo Films Ltd. is at the pivotal state of its growth with diversification into different sectors.
