PET-G Films is an Extended Version of the Polyester film developed to cater to the more significant applications spectrum in Packaging, sleeve Labels, Graphic Art, Retail, and Pharmaceutical & Medical Industries.


How is Cosmo PET-G film made?

PET-G is known as Polyethylene terephthalate glycolyzed.

Polyethylene terephthalate glycolyzed, or PET-G, is a thermoplastic polyester with various characteristics. It is an adaptation of PET (polyethylene terephthalate), with glycol (G), added at a molecular level to offer different chemical properties.

PET-G plastic film has many attributes that make it suitable for various industrial applications. Its superb chemical resistance and formability make it easy to manufacture. While like PET, it is more robust and durable, has more significant impact resistance, and is better suited for higher temperatures shrink sleeves.

In addition to these characteristics, PET-G is well suited for conversion techniques such as sheeting, slitting, and guillotining for further conversion.

PET-G offers heat-shrink film with low shrink stress, high transverse shrink rate, low longitudinal shrink rate, and low haze.
