After successfully grabbing European and Indian market, Cosmo Films is on expansion spree in North America. The Company is one of the global leaders and manufacturers of BOPP Films. The Company has epitomised its expansion drive my recently announcing the name of Mr. Sandeep Dutta as the President of its US operations. This decision of the Company forms the vital aspect of its decision to strengthen its position in North American market and further its footprints.
Cosmo Films has planned bundle of other commitments to make sure that this commitment of theirs works perfectly and in the desired direction. So who is this Mr. Sandeep Dutta who has been selected as the head in the plan to capture North America?
Mr. Sandeep Dutta has been associated with the Company for nine years and has lead several sales and manufacturing team with his professional spirit of positivity and zing. As the President of the Company, Mr. Sandeep Dutta has important responsibility of growing the business in the area with enhanced products and service deliveries.As far as restructuring is concerned, the Company has two brains – Chuck Thompson and Ed Dorsey, who are aware of ins and outs of the Company. Apart from this seven to eight people are also added to sales arena across different geographies in US.
Cosmo Films has already invested $ 1 million towards capacity expansion and facility up-gradation at Western Maryland Parkway site in Hagerstown that manufactures thermal lamination films in BOPP, PET and Nylon. Other products in the pipeline include scuff free matte, linen, hi-tac for digital application and velvet films.
The Company has architected state of art techniques to strengthen the production of velvet films that are extensively used for lamination in the publishing industry and luxury packing.
To add cutting edge to the lamination packaging, a premium polyester film matched to reduce curl when laminated is introduced especially for plastic loyalty, ID and post card market which has experienced a rapid kick start.
Cosmo Films believes in growing and growing with a difference- Difference of thought, Difference of approach and difference of technology and to transpire this idea the company is planning to start exporting its products from US manufacturing facility and also plans to sell part of its global range of products in North America market that includes direct thermal film, synthetic paper, PSA application films and several other packaging films.
The Company takes pride in being the largest exporter of BOPP films from India and the largest manufacturer of thermal lamination films in the world.
